I am a native New Mexican and although I have traveled a great deal, I still find New Mexico unique. I attended both the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University earning two degrees from UNM and two from NMSU –without conflict of loyalty! After 30 years, I ended a career in education as an administrator at Dona Ana Community College. My mother read to us every day as children and I now realize that it made the difference in our lives. Reading is still my favorite way to escape. I love living in other places and times through the pages of a book.
